Terms of Service

1. Who Can Use ComicPad

You must be at least 13 years old to use ComicPad. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use ComicPad only with permission from a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use ComicPad.

2. The Service

ComicPad is an AI comic and story creation service. It generates story text, comic pages, covers, narration and caricatures from what you enter, lets you read and share comics, and lets Twitch and Kick streamers and their viewers create comics together during a live stream. Images created with ComicPad carry the ComicPad logo. Features may change over time.

3. Your Account

An account is created for you automatically when you first open ComicPad. You can save it with an email address and password to use it on other devices and on the website, and you can link a website account to the app. You are responsible for keeping your device and password secure and for activity on your account. You may delete your account at any time; this permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Your Content

The stories and comics you create belong to you, to the extent the law allows for AI-generated material. You grant ComicPad a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, display and distribute your content as needed to run the service, including showing public stories to other users and on comic-pad.com, in Discover, in series and during live streams. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies in other people's live comics and short-lived caches. Remember that stories are published automatically at page 4 while your profile is public (see the Privacy Policy).

5. Photos of People

Only upload photos you have the right to use. Get permission from every person in a photo before you upload it, and do not upload photos of children unless you are their parent or guardian. Do not use photos to embarrass, harass, sexualise or impersonate anyone. You are responsible for the photos you upload and for how the resulting comics are shared.

6. AI-Generated Content

Content is created automatically by AI. It may be inaccurate, unexpected, or similar to other content, and it may sometimes be inappropriate despite our safety checks. ComicPad does not guarantee the quality, accuracy or suitability of AI output. Review content before you share it.

7. Tokens and Purchases

Generating covers, pages, narration, caricatures and live-comic actions uses tokens. New accounts receive free starter tokens, and you can earn tokens through invites or buy token packs in the app.

Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play and are subject to their payment and refund rules. Tokens have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and do not expire. Remaining tokens are lost when you delete your account.

If a generation fails because of an error on our side, its tokens are returned automatically. If the AI's safety filters block a page, the first two blocked attempts on that page are refunded and further attempts on the same page use tokens. In live comics, tokens for a cameo or plot twist that the streamer rejects or vetoes are refunded. Bits, channel points and Kicks are handled by Twitch or Kick and go to the streamer, not to ComicPad.

8. Live Comics

Streamers are responsible for their stream and for the cameos and plot twists they approve, and must follow the rules of Twitch or Kick. Viewers' chat commands, names, text and approved cameo photos can become part of a public comic. Do not send anything through a live comic that you would not want to appear in it.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use ComicPad to: (a) create or share content that is illegal, sexual content involving minors, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, violent threats, or that encourages self-harm; (b) create sexual, defamatory or misleading content about real people; (c) share other people's personal information; (d) infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights, including publishing comics built on characters or brands you do not have the rights to; (e) impersonate anyone; (f) get around our safety filters, the token system or security measures; (g) reverse engineer or attack the service, or access it with bots or automated tools.

10. Moderation and Reporting

We check requests automatically and may block them. We may remove or make private any content, and limit features, when we believe it breaks these Terms or the law. To report content or a user, contact us at trash.mrash.apps@gmail.com with a link to the story or profile; we review reports and act on them.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or harm the service or other users. You may stop using ComicPad and delete your account at any time.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

ComicPad is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ComicPad is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or content, arising from your use of the service.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will tell you about significant changes in the app or on the website, and the date at the top will change. If you keep using ComicPad after the changes take effect, the updated Terms apply.
